PO (Parent Organization)
The P.O. (Parent Organization) works with the administration to enhance the education process of the school. The PO assists the staff in organizing field trips, fundraiser and other activities. All parents are members of the PO and community members who are not parents of the school are welcome to join.
Meetings are held the last Tuesday of every month at 6:00 PM.
- On April 21, 2017, the ICS Math-a-Thon was held. Students in grades 1-12 answered 50-100 Mathematics questions in an hour. Each student obtained sponsors. The Math-a-Thon raised $800 that will be used for field trips and a field day.
- From May 5-6, 2017, the 7th-12th grade students visited Al-Madinah Academy in Richmond, Virginia. They attended an awards ceremony, Salatul Jum’uah and a class with their Richmond peers, then had a fun evening at Sky Zone. Saturday activities included lots of basketball, a trip to the mall and a cookout at the school. We look forward to hosting the students of Al-Madinah Academy in the future.
- The Parent Organization of the ICS held a Teacher Appreciation Dinner on April 25, 2017. The staff was treated to a delicious meal provided by the parents. Each teacher also received a gift from the parents.
