Staff Updates

Alhamdulillah, we have three graduates of the Islamic Community School on staff for the 2017-2018 academic year:
  • Ruwaydah Amin is a 2006 graduate who earned an AA degree in Early Childhood Education in 2010 from Baltimore City Community College.  She was a teacher’s aide at ICS from 2006-2011, then administered her own in-home daycare, Auntie RuRu’s Place, from 2011-2014.  From 2014-2016, she worked at the Goddard School, but decided in 2016 to return to her roots at the ICS.  This will be Ruwaydah’s second year teaching the 4th-6th grade females.  Ruwaydah is also enrolled at Morgan State University as a junior to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.
  • Aaliyah Inge Hanif-Wilson is a 2011 graduate who earned an AA degree in Early Childhood Education in 2015 from the Community College of Baltimore County.  She has worked as a teacher’s aide and a teacher in several day care centers in Baltimore and KinderCare in Ohio.  Aaliyah has returned home to teach the 1st-3rd grade class.
  • Hakeemah Abdul Aziz is a 2016 graduate.  She is returning to teach Qur’aan Recitation to the 1st-6th grade students in the mornings.
May Allah bless them all for returning and giving back to the school and bless them with many successful years of teaching at the Islamic Community School.
