The student’s engage in many activities throughout the year. The activities include field trips to local places as well as national locations. They also are involved in entrepreneurial activities. The students engage in physical activities that include fitness classes, hikes and yoga.
Students have taken trips to:
- National Aquarium in Baltimore
- Maryland Science Center
- Maryland Historical Society
- Baltimore Blacks & Wax Museum
- Baltimore Museum of Industry
- Druid Hill Park
- Sharp’s at Waterford Farm
- Giant Food Stores
- Toby’s Dinner Theater
- National Cryptological Museum
- National Smithsonian Institute
- Kayam Farm
They have also taken trips to visit other Islamic schools in Philadelphia, PA; Tampa and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; Kansas City, Missouri; Indianapolis, Indiana; Cleveland, Ohio and Richmond, Virginia.
They participated in the Citywide Robotics Program where they were challenged with the task of creating a functional robot using connecting pieces and a remote.
Each year all the classes are charged with creating and performing a Community Service Project to benefit the Islamic community locally or abroad.
